How can I pay and when will my balance be due? Provided you have booked the dates you require via our calendar then all you need to do is follow the payment structure and you can pay with your credit card, firstly a deposit and then the final balance nearer the date of departure. You will also be asked to pay a refundable breakage deposit. Also included in these charges is the Austrian tourist tax, all visitors over 14 years old must pay 1 Euro per night. When you complete the tourist payment book in the chalet you can use the green copy to get discount on ski lifts etc. Are there towels and linen provided in the chalet? All bedroom and bathroom linen is provided, as well as bathrobes for the sauna. You will need to take your own towels to use around the pool and hot tub areas. How many beds and bedrooms are there? There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other with twin single beds. If there are more than four persons in your party, then the sofas in the conservatory and lounge fold into double beds, making a total of 8 beds. The sauna area, located off the downstairs bathroom, is a convenient area for any guests staying in the living room to change. What if there is more than 8 in your party? If there is more than 8 to your party please let is know beforehand, as we may be able to arrange for another chalet nearby to also be made available. Is there a maid service? Yes, the chalet will be serviced once every week. Please remember to leave 80 Euros in the envelopes provided for our cleaner, Hanna. Is there a TV? There is a satellite TV with a built-in DVD and CD player. It’s a good idea to take some DVD’s with you for your stay. Where do we pick up the keys? The chalet has a key safe outside the front door and we will let you have the combination nearer the date of arrival. What time can we get into the chalet? The official time for entry to your chalet is 3pm, however as long as you have arranged this when booking and the chalet is ready we can let you in at your convenience. Can we stay in the chalet later than the confirmed vacating time of 10am? Please ask at the time of booking to see if this is possible. It might be that cleaning the chalet can be delayed, particularly if no one is staying the night you leave. What other facilities are available in the chalet? The kitchen has all cooking facilities and utensils, including a cooker, toaster, kettle and fridge/freezer. There is also an iron and ironing board, and a washing machine and tumble dryer. Can you drink the water from the taps? The water is very pure and safe to drink. The electrics in the chalet are European round pin. We have provided some adaptors for your use, and extra ones can be taken with you or bought locally. What shops and services are nearby? In Stadl there are several shops, a butchers, a bakers, a petrol station and a Post Office. There is also a café and the Murtalerhof Hotel is an option for meals and only a 10-minute walk away. The local bakery will deliver bread to the chalet, the details are in the chalet welcome book. The local hotel will deliver hot meals, again the details and menu are in the welcome book. In nearby Murau there are many shops and restaurants to choose from and a little closer to the chalet at the base of the Kreischberg ski lifts there are bars and restaurants. One of our favorite local restaurants is found part of the way up the Silvano” so popular at times you may need to book +43(0)3537387 Is there a pool? Yes there is a pool and jaccuzi for your use, but only in the summer months. Where can we hire ski equipment? There are many ski hire outlets, the one we use is just a short drive away from the base of the ski lifts and therefore a little less expensive and not so busy.
